Health checks 1 problem(s)

How the health checks work

The server checks itself in the background (every minute it runs the checks that are due) and e-mails the chosen people when something stops working, and again when it works again. Every check has its own interval; Off switches it off.

To avoid alarms for a short hiccup, checks that run every 15 minutes or more often report a problem only after two bad results in a row. While a problem lasts, the alarm is repeated after the chosen number of hours. Check now runs every check within a minute.

The daily summary goes to the same people: yesterday's calls and faxes and the state of every check. Command line: sudo aipbx-selftest. See docs/health.md.

When the whole server is down it cannot send an e-mail itself; watch it from outside for that.

Alarm e-mails

Who gets an e-mail when a check fails or warns, and when it works again. The same people get the daily summary.

A check that gets worse (warning → failed) is reported at once; a problem that flaps is the same problem and waits for this window.
No warning e-mails inside this window (HH:MM-HH:MM, may cross midnight). A failed check is still mailed at once, and a problem still there is mailed when the window ends. Empty means no quiet hours.
Daily summary

Every morning: yesterday's calls (incoming, outgoing, internal, answered, missed, talk time), faxes, yesterday's alarms and the state of every check.

The texts of these e-mails can be changed under E-mail → Templates (Health alarm, Health back to normal, Daily summary).
