VPN Client

Connects this PBX to another network, for example a SIP trunk or another PBX that can only be reached through a VPN. Upload the profile your provider gave you (WireGuard .conf or OpenVPN .ovpn) and list the networks behind the tunnel.

Only the networks you list use the tunnel. A profile that sends all traffic into the VPN is accepted, but the PBX never routes everything through it: calls, trunks and access to this server would move too and could be lost. A network this server already uses cannot be listed. DNS settings in a profile are ignored.

Only safe settings are accepted. These files can run commands on the server (PostUp, up, plugin and others), so a profile with such a line is refused, and certificates must be inside the OpenVPN file, not named by path. IPv6 addresses in a profile are not used.
For example the provider's SIP network. With WireGuard, leaving this empty takes the networks from the profile's AllowedIPs. With OpenVPN, it takes the route lines of the profile; routes the server sends are not used, so list them here.
Opens SSH and the portal to everyone on the other side of the tunnel. Without it, only SIP and call audio are open there.
